Linda Brooks

Linda Kay Brooks(Rutz), age 73 of Stoughton, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 28, 2018 at the Skaalen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Stoughton, Wisconsin.

She was born on July 10, 1944 in Rockford, Illinois to Francis and Arline Rutz. Linda grew up in Rockford. She attended University of Wisconsin, studying art and music. She married Marion M. Brooks on August 14, 1964 and they later moved to Hanover, Wisconsin.
Linda worked as a dental assistant in the Rock County area until her health failed. She loved to play the organ and singing with her daughters.
Survivors include her children Robert (Dawn) Brooks of Saukville, WI; Lisa (Doug) Kitzman of Sunrise Beach, MO; Sarah (Kevin) Peterson of Stoughton, WI; and Amy (Mark) Reed of Phoenix, AZ. 14 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren; her sister, Karen (David) Guy of Glendale, AZ

She was preceded in death by her Parents; her husband; their Son, Peter Michael 'Mike' and Sisters, Barbara Tietz ( Rutz) and Chris Odson(Rutz).

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Cress Funeral Home 206 W. Prospect, Stoughton with Father Randy Budnar presiding. A visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the time of service.
