Linda Mae Rabehl

Linda Mae (Koepke) Rabehl, 81, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.

Linda was born February 7, 1943 to Alfred and Leone Koepke in Portage, WI.  She attended Portage schools in her youth.  She also graduated from Madison Business College.  She met Robert Gordon Rabehl, and they married in 1968.  Robert preceded her in death.  She first worked for the Wisconsin State Patrol and then later as an administrative assistant for Mount Olive Lutheran Church, where she and her family attended.  Later she worked at Van Hise Elementary School. She was a wonderful wife and mother.

She was an avid reader and flower gardener. Linda enjoyed family vacations to South Dakota, Toronto, Washington, D.C., Montreal, Nashville, and Door County, to name a few.  Linda also enjoyed attending Milwaukee Brewers games, along with Wisconsin Badgers women’s volleyball and women’s basketball games.   Linda is survived by two sons, Rick Rabehl and Roger (Lori) Rabehl, and two grandsons Mike Rabehl and Danny Rabehl.  She is also survived by sister Carla (William) Koch and brother-in-law Tom (Cheryl) Woodworth and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Agrace and Brookdale Madison West for their compassionate care.

A funeral will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Cress Funeral and Cremation Services, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison.   Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., with a service immediately following at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
