Linda K. Scott

Linda K. Scott, age 56, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011 in her home.  She was born May 2, 1954, in Indiana, the daughter of John and Annamae   (Newcom) Williams.   Prior to her retirement, Linda and her husband Jeffrey operated Cheffrey's cafeteria in the DOR building.   She loved watching nature, the Beatles, reading, going to the Mall and spending time with her family and friends.   On August 11, 1973, Linda was united in marriage with Jeffrey Scott in Petersburg, IN.     In addition to her husband Jeffrey, survivors include a daughter Heather (Chuck)   Buggs, a son Michael Scott, a grandson Derin Buggs all of Madison;   a brother Carman (Susan) Newcom of TX; 3 sisters: Sue (Walter) Conroy of CT, Shirley (William) Blommer of AZ and Peggy (Jack) Barnett of IN.   She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother James and a sister Bonnie.   Services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, March 14 at the FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH 203 Wisconsin Ave. where friends may call from 10:00 am until time of service.   Reverend G. Keith Schroerlucke will officiate.   In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the American Cancer Society.
