Linda "Lin" Watson

November 15, 1943 — February 3, 2021

Linda “Lin” L. Watson, age 77, of Madison, passed away at home on Wednesday, February 3, 2021. She was born November 15, 1943, in Minneapolis, to Chester M. and Lora Lee (née Chase) Watson. Lin earned her Bachelor’s in journalism from the U of M – Minneapolis, and her Master’s in social work from UW Madison. She spent her career as a social worker for Independent Living and Catholic Charities. A very active member of A.A. for 43 years, she had the privilege of sponsoring numerous people. She enjoyed playing golf, playing cards, and watching sports. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Laurie Cadorette; and dear friend, Mildred “Teen” Munn. She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne (Bill) Vlasak; grandchildren, Chad and Monica Vlasak, and Amanda and Carsen Cadorette; sister, Elaine McGaffey (Don Shaffer); son-in-law, Bill (Paula) Cadorette; nieces, Rani (Mark) Lenhart and Tricia Hillner; nephew, Mark (Taresa) Sawh; and  the Munn family, Randy (Cindy), Sara, Brad (Tara), Trevor (Rita), Drew, and Alex; and many friends.

Private services will be held at a later date. Memorials preferred to Agrace Hospice or the Madison Area Intergroup Central Office.
