Madison -- Lisa R. Lehman, age 48, was taken to heaven on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Facility following a long battle with cancer. Â She was born on July 10, 19 61 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin , the daughter of Elmer and Joan (Milkey) Lehman. Â In 1979, she graduated from New London High School and went on to the University of Wisconsin-Stout to receive a degree in computers. Â Lisa previously worked for the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the athletic department and currently for the State of Wisconsin as an IT in technical support. Â Lisa was a computer wiz and was always willing to assist with any technical problem. She was a faithful member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Â In her spare time she was a sports enthusiast, loved driving her Harley motorcycle, golfing, weight lifting and most of all spending time with her family and friends. Â Lisa is survived by her parents; Elmer and Joan Lehman, four siblings; Cindy (Steve) Youngwirth of Oskhosh, Mary Coenen of Neenah , Patty Lehman of Green Bay and Elmer (Joell) Lehman of Colgate and ten nieces and nephews. Â She is also survived by other loving family and many dear friends. Â Lisa was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents; Thomas and Mary Milkey and paternal grandparents; Elmer and Cecil Lehman. Â A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. THOMAS AQUINAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 602 Everglade Dr. on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 10:00 a.m.with Monsignor Donn Heiar presiding. Â A visitation will be held at the church on Friday, June 4, 2010 from 4 to 7 pm and again at the church on Saturday, June 5, 2010 from 9:00 am until the time of Mass. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery . Â In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Lisa to the Gynecologic Cancer Foundation, 230 W. Monroe , Suite # 2528 , Chicago , IL 60606 . Â The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Facility for all the special treatment given to Lisa and our family.
