Lois Nora Lee Galbraith

December 25, 1927 — July 25, 2009

Madison/Kenosha - Lois Galbraith, age 81 passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2009 with her family by her side from a massive stroke at University Hospital.   She was born on December 25, 1927 in Kenosha, the daughter of Russell and Gladys E. (Zimmerman) Kreuscher.   Once moving to Madison, Lois has developed many friends over the years. She loved dogs.   Lois was a loving, caring and giving woman. She had a heart of gold and always put her family first.   She cherished the time spent with family and was a devoted mother and grandmother.   Lois is survived by her four children, Joyce (Ron) Morse of Madison, Sandy Fifer of New Berlin, Linda (Les) McLean of Kenosha and Jim (Margie) Miechowicz of Mesa, AZ, eight grandchildren; Stephen Fifer IV, Nicholas (Melissa) Fifer, Eric (Sarah) Naslund, Steven (Michelle) Miechowicz, Amy (Chris) Madsen, Gregory (Tracy) Morse, Jeffrey Morse, and Daniel (Debra) Morse, six great grandchildren; Alyssa Miechowicz, Treavor Miechowicz, Noah Madsen, Ryan Madsen, Lauren Morse and Sophia Morse and a very special cousin; Delores Morton.   She is also survived by other loving family and many friends.   Lois was preceded in death by her parents, brother; Richard Kreuscher and her husband, Larry Galbraith. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 401 S. Owen Drive, Madison on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at 12:00 Noon with Monsignor Kenneth Fiedler officiating.   Graveside services will be held at Sunset Ridge Cemetery in Kenosha, WI on Monday, August 3, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an organization that Lois cherished the most, The Paralyzed Veterans of America, 801 Eighteenth Street N.W., Washington, D.C.   2006-3517.    The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Michael L. Thom, Dr. Mark Reichelderfer, Dr. James W. Leonard and the nurses at UW Hospital and Clinics for all the grateful and wonderful care given to Lois.
