Lois Caroline Neveu

Lois Caroline Neveu, age 85 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at HospiceCare, Inc., Fitchburg Lois was born in Iron Mountain, Michigan on December 6, 1925 the daughter of the late Charles and Emma (Benson) Sorenson. She was united in marriage to Harry Neveu on July 12, 1947 in Oconto Falls, WI. Harry preceded her in death in 1991. Lois is survived by her four loving children, three daughters and one son: Jayne (Doug) Niebruegge of Brookfield, WI, Lynette (Michael) Wagner of Cottage Grove, WI, Charles (Mary) Neveu of San Francisco, CA, and Mary (Todd) Lofald of Onalaska; WI, nine grandchildren: Kersti Niebruegge, Mia (Luke Schelhaas) Niebruegge, Alex and John Wagner, Elizabeth , Grace and John Neveu, Aaron and Emma Lofald; a special niece, Carolyn Sorensen and her children Amy (Jim) Boettcher and Eric (Elyse) Sorensen. She is further survived by neighbors of 51 years, Esther and Carl Teske; and many close friends, who were very dear to her. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter, Martha Neveu, and sisters, Elaine Delzer and Darlene Sorenson. Special thanks for the loving and tender care our Mom received from the amazing staff at the Hospice Care Center. We are truly humbled by the gift of compassion each and every one of you shared with us during our Mom's stay. Lois was the consummate homemaker, military wife, Mom and Grandma, and cherished her children and grandchildren more than anything. She gained strength through her faith and the community she found within her church. Her kind and caring spirit will be greatly missed. Memorials to a children's charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 550 Lincoln Drive, Sun Prairie with the Reverend Dr. David J. Berggren officiating. Family will greet friends at church on Saturday from Noon until the time of service. A luncheon at the church will follow the service.
