Madison:  Loretta K. Miller, age 95, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2008 at Oakwood Village West in Madison.
Loretta Kathryn Franzen Brown Miller was born May 18th, 1913 in Iowa County, Wisconsin to Matthew and Isabell (Nelson) Franzen.  Loretta graduated from Highland High School in 1931. She married Marvin Brown in 1937 and lived most of their married life in the Madison area.
 Loretta and Marvin ejoyed camping throughout WI.  Her many talents included cooking and baking for her family.  Loretta was famous within her family for her awesome macaroni and cheese.  She also enjoyed embroidery, crocheting.  In her spare time the fish in various lakes feared Loretta's fishing pole.
Upon retirement in 1977, they moved to Bradenton, Florida.  Marvin fell ill and passed away on December 9, 1978.  Loretta remained in Florida and married Emerson Miller on June 8, 1983.  They lived in Florida until 1993 when they moved to back to Madison, Wisconsin to be near her family. Emerson passed away in January of 2003.
 Loretta is survived by her two sons, Gerald (Lynn) Brown of Waterloo, Roger (Judie) Brown of Three Lakes and by two daughters, Sharon (Jeffery) Faurerbach of Verona and Kay (Carl) Behn of Madison, and a daughter-in-law Linda Brown of Cross Plains. 
 Also surviving are seventeen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren.
 Three sons preceded Loretta in death; Donald (infant), Merlin Brown in1996 (Dorothy 2005) and Kenneth Brown in 2005.  Her brother James Franzen and sister Alberta Franzen Andrew also preceded Loretta in death as well as her great granddaughters Kathryn and Skylar and great, great, grandson Landen.
 A Memorial Mass will be held at 2:00 pm on  Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at ST. JOSEPHS CATHOLIC CHURCH,
1905 W. Beltline Hwy., Madison, with visitation from 12:30 pm until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials may be made to HospiceCare Inc., 5395 E. Cheryl Pkwy., Madison, WI  53711 or the Oakwood Foundation, 6201 Mineral Point Rd., Madison, WI  53705
