Madison, WI - Loretta Marie (Walker) Smith, ""Jack"" age 55, departed this life on Friday, June 24, 2011 at University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, WI. Born March 3, 1956 in Joiner, AR, the daughter of Jesse Lee Thomas and James William Walker, Sr. Loretta confessed her faith in Christ at an early age while attending Sunrise Missionary Baptist Church of Pecan Point, AR. As a youth program coordinator for many years, Loretta was employed by the Boys & Girls Club of Dane County, Madison, WI. Loretta was passionate about her faith in God, family and friends, and writing poetry.

Loretta leaves too cherish memories, two sons; Ronald G. Smith and Donta Starr, Madison, WI, five daughters; Jacqueline L. Smith, Loretta L. Smith, Lasandra L. Smith, and Denita Smith, Madison, WI, and Tammy R. (Alfred) Sharpe of Middleton, WI. Also left behind are her sisters; Evetta L. (Raz B) Turner, Joiner, AR, and Jeanette Jones, Marked Tree, AR, and brothers; Tannie L. (Eddie Mae) Weinda, Wilson, AR, Lawrence D. Walker, Alfred L. Jones, Willie C. (Judy Gerron) Walker, Madison, WI, and Willie Albert (Carla) Jones, St. Paul, MN. Granny leaves thirteen grandchildren to cherish the fondest of memories, and a delightful great-granddaughter. Loretta will be sadly missed by many friends and all who knew her. Preceded in death by her parents Jesse Lee Thomas and James William Walker, Sr., her sister, Rachel Lee Walker, and brother, James William Walker, Jr. ""Chick"", Loretta has gone to be with her children, Randy C. Smith, Donald D. Smith, and Lonnie Lee Smith, Jr.
