Lorraine V. Pollock

Lorraine V. Pollock, age 86, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 13, 2010 in Iowa City, Iowa.   She was born March 9, 1924 the daughter of Adolph and Camilla ( Linke) Brummel in Milwaukee.   Lorraine was united in marriage to Russell ""Pete"" Pollock on June 20, 1954, and they shared 52 years together.   Russell passed away December 30, 2006.    Lorraine was a loving mother and devoted grandmother that enjoyed spending time with her family.   She was employed as an Occupational Therapist, and later in life went back to college to obtain a Master's Degree in Art.   Lorraine had a love for children and also of art, and found great joy in teaching art in many places,   and especially  the   New Glarus Schools.   Lorraine is survived by her loving children, Gary of Jackson, Wyo., and Nancy (Scott) Richard of   Iowa City, Iowa, two cherished   grand-daughters, Betsey and Lilly Richard, and her beloved cat, Kitty Kitty, who was a very dear companion in her last years. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Russell.    Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Rd., Madison, WI   53705 with Rabbi Joshua Ben-Gideon presiding.    Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.   The family suggests that memorials may be made to Beth Israel Center.
