SUN PRAIRIE - Lucille Anne (Wilson) Brown, age 68, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, surrounded by her loving family after a short but courageous battle with adrenal cortical carcinoma. Lucille was united in marriage with her sweetheart, Robert E. Brown Sr. on Aug. 31, 1958, and together they raised two sons and a daughter. Lucille was an incredible woman and a woman after God's own heart. She worked as a CNA and most recently at a child care center, where she was privileged to care for her great-grandson, Kenlee, for the first year of his life , as well as her great-granddaughters, McKenzie and Madison. Lucille was a mother-in-love to her two daughters-in-law and son-in-law. She was Linda's ""Naomi,"" Ruth 1:16. Lucille is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert E. Brown Sr. of Sun Prairie; her children, Kevin (Linda) Brown of Sun Prairie, Robert (Pam) Brown Jr. of Beaufor t, S.C., and Janelle (Mike) Jordan of Portage; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Sharon (George) Harris of Modoc, Ind.; brothers, Rev. Milton Wilson Jr. of Parker City, Ind., and Dr. John (Marcella) Wilson of Maple Park, Ill.; sister-in-law, Kathy Dubeansky of Union City, Ind.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Milton and Mila (Wood) Wilson Sr.; brothers, Aaron and Paul; and infant sister, Frieda Mae. Lucille was everyone's grandma and she will be sorely missed. The family would like to thank Dr. Motl, Dr. Raman, Dr. Kim, Dr. Schteingart and nurse practitioner, Laura LaRue. In addition, special thanks to all the wonderful nurses at St. Mary's Hospital, Home Health United, Hospice caregivers, Sun Prairie Colonial Club and the many others who have supported Lucille through this journey. Services to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009, at 11 a.m. at CROSSPOINT OF THE NAZARENE CHURCH, 5011 Commercial Ave., Madison with the Rev. Starnes and the Rev. White officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 9, 2009, from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, Sun Prairie and at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Mom, we love you and your legacy will live on for generations to come.
