Lucille “Lucy” Agnes Clemens, age 90, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 17, 2024, after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Lucy was born in the township of Vienna on September 23, 1933, to parents John and Anna “Keller” Koch. She was the fifth of six children. Lucy attended Lodi High School. She married Floyd Clemens on June 9, 1953 and they began their life together on the family farm.
Lucy is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd, her daughter-in-law Sandy Clemens, her parents, siblings, and their spouses.
Lucy is survived by her 5 children, Doug Clemens Sr., Larry (Nancy) Clemens Sr, Debbie (John) Edwards, Lynn (Dan) Hertel, Rick (Alinda) Clemens, along with 24 grandchildren and step grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, a brother-in-law, and 2 sisters-in-law.
Lucy enjoyed traveling when she could. She was an avid bowler and once almost achieved that perfect 300 game. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards with her friends, and participating in her Red Hat activities. She had been known to visit a casino or two and was usually the one who left with a little extra cash in their pocket. Lucy enjoyed spending time with her family, whether it be her immediate family or her large extended family members.
We want to thank mom’s Agrace Hospice team and the staff at The Waunakee Valley Nursing and Rehab Center for the care they provided mom.
