Lucille Knerr

Middleton-Lucille (Sheets) Knerr, aged 100, passed away quietly at The Villa of Middleton Village on July 9th, 2018. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Harmon and Elsie Sheets, Lucille was active in school clubs and city-wide competitive tennis. She attended Western College For Women in Ohio, and shortly afterwards met and married Robert Knerr. She and Robert started their family in the midst of Robert's Army enlistment during WWII. After the war, Robert's career took them to Detroit, Michigan, Minneapolis, Minnesota, and finally to Waupaca, Wisconsin. She especially enjoyed golf and curling during her time spent in Waupaca.

Lucille is survived by her daughter Patricia Keller-Mosley, grandchildren Mick Knerr, Ryan Knerr, Jessica Mosley, and great-grandchildren Kathryn Knerr, Elizabeth Knerr, Emilie Knerr, Anna Knerr, and Casey Knerr. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband Robert Knerr Sr. and her son, Robert Knerr Jr.

Lucille will be remembered for her unwavering support of her family and friends, her sense of humor, and determination. She would want to express great appreciation for the very loving care she received in her last years from the staff at Segoe Gardens in Madison, Wisconsin and The Villa in Middleton, Wisconsin. There will be a graveside gathering later this year in Waupaca. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lucille's name to a charity of your choice. Please share a memory.
