Lynn Graves

DEERFIELD--Dr. Lynn B. Graves Jr., passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 18, 2013.

Lynn is survived by his two children, Bill (Jan Graves) and Nadia (Hartley Severns), as well as grandchildren Ian, Lauren and Shaye Graves, and Maya (Nestor Orellana), Aeron and Zoe Severns. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann, brother, Harris, and sister, Virginia.

Intelligent, independent and passionate about his politics, Lynn was happiest when he was talking with others and sharing knowledge. He loved to tell stories, particularly about his time in China with the Marines, teaching cell physiology and related topics, people who influenced his thinking, his family and German Shepherd dogs. He was most proud of his children and grandchildren, and delighted in their accomplishments. He will be missed. A private memorial was held in New York.
