M. Joan Cobb

      Mary Joan Cobb   Sun Prairie -- Joan Cobb, age 79, passed away November 1, 2008 peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Joan was born May 25, 1929 in Winchester, IN. She was the daughter of Myles and Josephine Young and graduated from Fountain City High School in Fountain City, IN. Joan was united in marriage to Maxwell Cobb on July 15, 1950 in Richmond, IN.     Joan retired from Midwest Wholesale as COO after 12 years of service. She was a member of St. Chad's Episcopal Church, now Good Shepherd Episcopal Church of Sun Prairie since 1967.  She was also an avid golfer and Bridge player.   Joan adored her family and cherished the time she spent with them. She is survived by her beloved husband Max of 58 years, sister Sue Koebrich of Champaign, Il., brother  Bill Young of LaGrange, GA. and brother in-law Frank of  DeLand Fl.   Three sons, Mark (Julie), Bob (Chris), Mike (Katie).  Five grandsons David, Andrew, Tyler, Bobby, Kevin, and two very precious granddaughters Lori, and Kristen, as well as, her loyal companion   Ginger.   The family would like to give special thank to Hospice for their outstanding care and support and the many friends and relatives who have supported the family during Joan's illness. Donations in Joans name may be made to the Don and Marilyn Hospice Care Center in Madison or to Good Shepherd Episcopal Church.   Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, 3416 Swansee Ridge (coroner of Hwy 19 & ct tk C), Sun Prairie with Rev. Michael Tess officiating.   Entombment will be held in Roselawn Memorial Park, Monona.
