Madeline A. Renz

Sun Prairie- Madeline A. ""Midge"" Renz, age 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 28, 2010 at the Karmenta Center, Madison. She was born on May 28, 1928 in Mayville the daughter of Frank & Theresa (Pahl) Illik. Midge was united in marriage to William J. Renz on October 18, 1952 in Mayville. She was an active member of Sacred Hearts of Jesus & Mary Catholic Church, Sun Prairie and a longtime member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Post 69, Mayville. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, baking, shopping and was an avid reader. She was a longtime employee of the Sun Prairie School District in the food service department first working at the High School and then later at Westside Elementary as head cook. She also was a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts in Sun Prairie. Midge had many interests in her life but her greatest enjoyment came as a grandmother, great grandmother and family get togethers. She is survived by her children, Christine (Douglas) Stohl, Sun Prairie, Julie (David) Siebert, McFarland, Mary Beth (Rick) Blanchard, DeForest and Curtis (Kimberly Hahn-Renz) Renz, DeForest; her grandchildren, Jeff Meyers, Jeremy Meyers, Kelley (Greg) Berlin, Andy (Shelley) Stohl, Cortney (Brad) Lockman, Julie Blanchard, Autumn Blanchard and Kyan Renz; her great-grandchildren, Dominic Meyers, Karlee Meyers and Cody Berlin; nieces and nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on May 18, 1994 and by her brothers and sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. at Sacred Hearts of Jesus & Mary Catholic Church, 221 Columbus St., Sun Prairie, WI with Msgr. Duane R. Moellenberndt presiding. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.
