Margaret Rose Gerber Brown

Margaret Rose Gerber Brown, age 87, passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2010. Margaret was born at the family home, Old Murry Cheese Factory, Rusk County to Ernest and Martha (Wyttenbach) Gerber on March 3, 1923.     Margaret received her teaching and nursing degrees at UW Milwaukee and Masters in Education from UW Madison. She married Tom C. Brown and together they raised their family. Margaret spent most of her career teaching at Oregon High School. She enjoyed family and music.   Margaret is survived by her children, Tom (Candace) and Peggy Brown; granddaughter, Emily Brown; brothers, Carl and Robert and many other relatives and friends.   Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; a sister; and 5 brothers.   A Memorial Gathering Open House will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010 from 1 pm until 4 pm at Cress Funeral Home, 6021 University Avenue, Madison, WI.   Memorials may be made to your local library in Margaret's name.
