Margaret Burns

Margaret I. "Maggie" Burns, age 62, passed on July 10, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Maggie was born on December 7, 1950 in Madison , the daughter of Benjamin and Virginia (Dalton) Burns.
Maggie was a longtime Madison resident. She graduated from East High School in 1969. She worked 35 years as a Certified Nurse Assistant for the State of WI taking care of special needs people. Her passions were Crocheting, knitting, gardening, and spending time with her granddaughter Meagen.
Maggie is survived by her daughter Amy (Terry) Reames of Las Vegas, granddaughter Meagen of Wichita, KS; brothers Robert and Frank of Madison, sisters Catherine of Madison, and Deborah of Eastman, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Benjamin and Ted.
Service will be held on Wednesday July 17, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Cress Funeral Home, 3325 E. Washington Ave., Madison with a visitation starting at 11:00 am prior to service. A private family burial will take place at Haney Ridge Cemetery, Gay's Mills, WI.
