Stoughton- Margaret Gryttenholm, age 88, passed away at Oakwood East in Madison on Tuesday, October 7, 2008. She was born in Stoughton on September 24, 1920, a daughter of Erick and Gertrude (Yttri) Anderson. She was united in marriage to Conrad Gryttenholm on January 27, 1940. Margaret worked as housekeeping manager at Stoughton Hospital for many years. She loved bowling and even bowled a 200 game and a 500 series at age 80. She loved to play cards with her family, garden, follow the Packers, Brewers, watch John Wayne, and listen to country music. She was content to stay at home, but she also loved to socialize, dance, travel, fish, and golf. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, and a member of the Photography Club at Stoughton Hospital. Margaret is survived by her six children, Gene Gryttenholm, Jerry (Judy) Gryttenholm, Irene (Chris) Seuntiens, Helen Straavaldson, Erick (Kathy) Gryttenholm, and Eleanor Every;Â 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; a sister, Olga Aaberg; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; and eight brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 10, 2008 at 11am at First Lutheran Church, 310 E. Washington St., Stoughton, with the Rev. Richard Halom officiating. Burial will follow at Lutheran Cemetery South in Stoughton. The family will greet friends at church on Friday from 10am until the time of service. Memorials may be made to HospiceCare of Madison, First Lutheran Church, or to The Stoughton Hospital Foundation.
