Stoughton / Des Plaines- Margaret Ruth Wurst, age 89 of Stoughton, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at the Stoughton Hospital. She was born on October 28, 1919 in Chicago, the daughter of Alfred and Etta Marie (Krogel/Lombardi) Clemmensen. She was united in marriage to Henry R. Wurst on August 3, 1940. Hank and Marge raised their family in Des Plaines, Illinois. They were members of Christ Lutheran Church in Stoughton, the Stoughton Country Club, the VFW, American Legion, AmVets and Elks. Marge claimed 60 continuous years of membership in the Ladies Auxiliary of the Norwood Zurich AmVet Post # 36. Marge was a loving, devoted wife and helpmate to Hank for 67 years until his death. She also was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, reading cookbooks and creating her own recipes, even winning a recipe contest occasionally. She liked reading, sewing and the needle arts. She enjoyed homemaking and taking care of all generations of her family. She had a great sense of humor. She also enjoyed golf and fishing with her husband. They enjoyed many happy times on Lake Kegonsa where they owned a home, and where she spent much of her entire life from childhood on. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Dan) Trebac of Crystal Lake, IL; grandchildren, Carol (Doug) Cronrath of Montoursville, PA, Susan (Robert) Longest of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Anne Margaret (Matt) Fink of Cary, IL, Karen (Mike) Clinton of Round Lake, IL, and Daniel Henry Trebac of Crystal Lake, IL; seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Kay Wurst of Chicago; a niece and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Frank Clemmensen; and by her son and daughter-in law, Kenneth C. and Nancy Wurst. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 11:30 am at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 West Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL (708-456-8300 www.cumberlandchapels.com , with the Rev. Paul Carlson presiding. Visitation will be from 10 am until the time of service. Burial will follow at Irving Park Cemetery, Chicago. Memorials may be made to Stoughton Baptist Church, 125 Cty Tk B, Stoughton, WI 53589.
