Margith Danielson, 87, formerly of Ogema, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 13, 2009. A very private, wise, and independent woman, Margith loved her home and land, her family, and had a passion for books, especially history and great literature. Music was important to her and she played accordion in two bands in Illinois in her youth and first chair violin in the high school orchestra. She enjoyed gymnastics in high school and kept active throughout her life, often taking long walks hear her home. She had been active in the Ogema Lutheran church and the local American Legion post. Born in Sweden in 1921 to Alin and Selma Carlson, she grew up in and near St. Charles Illinois with her older brother Harvey (deceased) and younger sister Dolores (Danielson). After her parents moved to northern Wisconsin, she met a handsome US sailor and married Reuben Danielson in the Ogema Lutheran Church. They had three deeply loved children, Kent (deceased), Sonia Von Loh (Richard), Wausau, and Kristine Freundlich (Craig), Madison, and two grandchildren Aaron Von Loh ( Wausau), and Vicki Tressler (Steve), Mosinee. Margith and Reuben moved to Madison in 2008 to be closer to family and medical care in advanced age. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her well. To honor her request, a private family service will be planned.
