Marguerite Traino of Madison passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023 at the age of 84. She was born on March 1,1939 to Peter and Florence Macaluso (Farino) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She graduated from Central High School in Madison and married the love of her life Angelo Traino on December 29, 1962 in Madison. She retired from the University of Wisconsin system where she was employed as an Administrative Assistant. Marguerite enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her four grandchildren. Her hobbies included quilting, crocheting, and gardening.
She is survived by her son Mark Traino of Madison and daughter Lisa Marie Sieb (Tristan) of Pewaukee. She has four grandchildren, Christina Sternke (Christian) of Mukwonago, Nicholas Sieb of Ferndale, Michigan, Maria Sieb of Madison, and Lita Traino of Madison. She is the great Nonna to Amelia and Luca Sternke. Marguerite was preceded in death by her husband, Angelo Traino, parents, Peter and Florence Macaluso, parent in laws, Vito and Anna Traino (Masino), her brother, Peter Macaluso, special cousin Lucille Demitros and many other family members and friends.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at the Cress Center, 6021 University Ave., Madison, WI 53705, with a service to follow at 11:00 am.
Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery followed by a reception at the Cress Center.
Our family would like to thank all of the hospice staff and caregivers at Eden Vista for the care that Mom received and the help that was given to make her last days more comfortable.
