Maria Hostasch, age 82, died peacefully on Friday July 3, 2009, at her home. Maria was born Maria Hepp, on July 27, 1926 in the village of Stebnik in Czechoslovakia. As a young girl Maria enjoyed listening and dancing to Polka music in her homeland. In 1952 Maria and her husband, Josef, along with their first son, immigrated from Germany to the United States and settled in Madison, Wisconsin. She and Josef had five children. Maria loved raising her children, as well as cooking and feeding all who came to her home. While Maria didn't care for the cold winters in Madison, many times we laugh about her running outside without a coat when one of the children didn't wear their gloves or forgot their hat. Maria was a happy, loving mother, mother-in-law and friend. If things were not going well, she would sing and dance to make you smile or laugh. Whenever you received a card or letter from her, it was always uplifting and encouraging. She loved babies and small children and could not pass a little one by without stopping. Maria had a bright outlook for the future solidly based on God's Word. She read her Bible daily and shared its message about God's Kingdom with all she met. Â Maria is survived by her children, Josef (Rita) Hostasch Jr. of Deer Park, Texas Claus (Donna) Hostasch of Madison, Mark (Sheila) Hostasch of Middleton, Daniel (Judith) Hostasch of Lynbrook, NY, Ingrid (Oliver) Ebert of Madison, and one grandchild, Ella Jane Hostasch of Middleton. Maria was preceded in death by her loving husband Josef. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday July 11, 2009 at 2:00 p. m. at the KINGDOM HALL OF JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES, 542 Pleasant View Rd . Middleton, with Minister Howard Luedtke officiating. There will be a visitation for family and friends beginning at 1:00 p. m. prior to the service.
