Marian J. Anderson

 

Madison/Stoughton- Marian J. Anderson, age 81, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, March 16, 2009 at Skaalen Home in Stoughton. She was born in Monroe on July 5, 1927, the daughter of Eldon and Margaret (Solbraa) Linderud. Marian grew up in Stoughton and graduated from Stoughton High School in 1945. On July 3, 1949 she married Frank L. Anderson at the Stoughton United Methodist Church on Main Street. Marian enjoyed gardening, collecting antiques, traveling, the Green Bay Packers, and UFOs. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Frank; 3 children, Linda Anderson, Charles Anderson and Margaret (Ron) Hetzler, all of this area; family friend, Ralph Pelkey; brother, Charles (Jean) Linderud of Crandon; nephews, Paul (Jane) Linderud and their daughters, Jessica and Anneleis; Roger (Elizabeth) Linderud; cousin, Earl (Clarice) Linderud of Stoughton; and many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 19, 2009 at the Olson-Holzhuter-Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton with the Rev. Dr. Lamarr Gibson officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to a luncheon following the burial at the Vennevoll clubhouse. Visitation will be held from 12 noon until the time of service on Thursday. A special thank you to the Skaalen caregivers, especially to the Friendship Circle.
