Marian E. Moyer, age 84, of Madison, died at Marshfield Hospital on Friday, May 19, 2023. Born July 30, 1938, in Clermont County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Thomas and Helen Wildey. Marian graduated from New Richmond High School and went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree from The Ohio State University.
On July 31, 1960 she married D. David Moyer.
Marian was a strong Christian woman with a faith that ran deep. Marian and David spent many hours in study and prayer together, growing closer to God and helping guide their family in the quiet strength and joy that comes from a firm foundation.
Marian’s early adulthood was spent caring for her children and supporting her husband in his career. She then moved on to become a beloved elementary school teacher at High Point Christian School. After retiring, she devoted her days to caring for her grandchildren and attending all their various activities. In every season of life, her days were spent full of children and love.
Grandma/Nana has 6 wonderful grandchildren and 2 great grandsons who she adored. Any chance she had to attend an event for them she was there cheering them on, whether it was band, dance, gymnastics, alpaca events, karate, ice skating events, soccer, volleyball, baseball, or t-ball. She was an enthusiastic cheerleader and a great source of encouragement. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren benefitted from hours spent with Marian as she dedicated many years to the care and enjoyment of the children.
One of the many ways that Marian and David cared for their family was by ensuring the children and grandchildren were able to experience historic locations and new cities. Together they organized and led many trips for the family, both around the country and around the world.
Survivors include her children - Pamela Warriner, David Daniel (Diane) Moyer, Lisa (Dale) Le Duc; her grandchildren – Cathleen (Dave) Heath, Colton Warriner, Annelle Moyer, Daniel Moyer, Emma Le Duc, and Caleb Moyer; her great-grandchildren – Phillip and Theodore Heath; and many loved extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, D. David Moyer, parents, her in-laws Daris Daniel Moyer and Mary Elizabeth Cooper Moyer, her siblings Carl Wildey, Thomas Wildey, and Lois Ireton, her sister-in-law, Janet English, and son-in-law, George Warriner.
