Marianne Karen Perce (nee Vogelman) also aka Agnes, Aggie
Passed away peacefully Monday, February 28th, 2022 at University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics in Madison, WI surrounded by members of her family following a long illness.
“Agnes” as she was affectionately known, was born February 1, 1949 in Racine WI, the youngest of six children to Harold and Opal Vogelman.
Aggie attended Horlick High School in Racine, and furthered her education in Los Angeles attending Cosmetology School.
Marianne became a mother to Daren Tyler in 1965, Teri Lynn 1967, Camille Ann 1969 and Andrea Desiree in 1983. Throughout her motherhood years, Ma also maintained various jobs in different types of fields. From a parts inspector, bartender, office attendant at the Racine County Humane Society. In 1981 she was introduced to her future husband, Chuck. The two got married on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1983 in Racine and they spent the remainder of her life together. After moving to Madison in 1988, Ma found a new passion for cooking at daycare centers and kitchen management and making her own menus. She continued to follow that passion for seven years. She further went on to show her skills by teaching herself baking skills. To cake decorating, treats and many different varieties of bars, cookies and most importantly FROSTING!! THICK FROSTING!
If you spent just one day with Aggie, you definitely had a story! Also, anyone who came in contact with Agnes, quickly learned of her many humorous words and descriptive phrases! Her humorous terms and phrases will live on forever, to the point where it’s been said multiple times from many, including her husband that “You need to write a dictionary!!” It’s definitely something that needs to be said that she was quite the lady! Others always came first in her heart, followed by a smile and a hug.
