Marie Elizabeth Laufenberg

Waunakee-Marie Elizabeth ""Betty"" Laufenberg, age 88, passed away peacefully at home in her sleep on Saturday, Nov 6, 2010 surrounded by her family just 16 days before her 89th birthday. She was born on Nov 22, 1921, in Waunakee, the daughter of Frank X. and Elizabeth (Schneider) Koch. Betty was united in marriage to the love of her life, Mathias J. ""Math"" Laufenberg on July 18, 1942 and they shared 63 wonderful years together. From this union they were blessed with eleven children. Betty treasured being a mother and enjoyed her full time job raising her children; Michael (Lois) of Waunakee, Jane (Dan) Neisen of Cottage Grove, Joan (Tony) Helt of Ashton, Brother Bill of Madison, Kris Hellenbrand of Waunakee, Karen (Keith) Sines of Waunakee, Richard of Waunakee, Thomas (Joan) of Madison, Mary (Jim) Pulvermacher of Town of Springfield, Don (Steph) of Waunakee and Karla of Waunakee. In addition to her children, Betty is survived by 21 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; a brother, Jim (Dorothy) Koch of Waunakee; a sister Barbara (Harold) Carlson of Sauk City and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Math Laufenberg in 2005; two sisters Mercedes ""Sis"" Daentl and Delores Dohm; two brothers , Bob and Eugene Koch and a great-grandson, Nathaniel Wendorf. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St John the Baptist Catholic Church, 209 South St Waunakee at 11:00 a.m. on Wed. Nov 10, 2010, Msgr. James Gunn will officiate. Burial will take place in St John's Cemetery following the mass. Family and friends may call on Tuesday Nov 9, 2010 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at St John's Catholic Church. Friends may also call at the church on Wed. from 10:00a.m. until the time of services. "" Mom, All is quiet, rest in peace. Love you forever and always.""
