Berge, Marilyn (Stenjem)

Stoughton- Marilyn L. (Stenjem) Berge, age 63, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2008 at the UW Hospital in Madison. She was born in Stoughton on April 1, 1945, a daughter of Herbert and Vernel (Lund) Stenjem. Marilyn worked most recently at Oregon Manor, and enjoyed her work there. She lived for Christmas and her grandchildren. Her family was always most important to her. Marilyn also enjoyed shopping, knitting and crafts. She is survived by three children, Dean (Julie) Stenjem, Janelle (Mark) Geitt, and Gary (Carrie) Berge; 4 grandchildren, Corey, Maggie, Josh and Cody; mother, Vernel (Don Flattum) Stenjem; brother, Bobby (Jane Paulus) Stenjem; sister, Darlene (Bob) Anderson; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, and by brother-in-law, Norman Heffel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at 11:30 am at Covenant Lutheran Church, 1525 N. Van Buren, Stoughton with the Rev. Mark Petersen officiating. A luncheon will follow at church, and then, burial will take place at Primrose East Cemetery in Primrose, WI. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, October 14 from 4 pm until 8 pm at the Olson-Holzhuter-Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton, and again at church on Wednesday from 10:30 am until the time of service.
