Marion Kraak

MADISON - Marion J. Kraak, ages 94 died on Wednesday, December 28, 2011. He was born to John C. and Julia Handel Kraak on October 3, 1917 in Dane County, Wisconsin. He was married on October 20, 1951 to Mary Lynaugh. He was a member of the Ironworkers Union for 64 years and a veteran of WWII. He is survived by his wife, Mary, their six children; Ann (Randy) Windell, Bridget (Ed.) Grindle, John Kraak, Thomas Kraak (Kathy Hendricksen), Margaret Kraak (Mark Vanderhei) and Sarah Kraak-Ripple (David Ripple); ten grandchildren, and a sister, Dorothy Daggett. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and a brother. Funeral services will be held at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison on Friday, January 6, 2012 at 11 am, with Father Gerard Healy officiating. A visitation will be held at Cress on Friday from 10 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
