Deerfield - Margie Kreuger, age 80, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, May 29, 2011 in rural Deerfield. She was born August 15, 1930 in Deerfield, the daughter of Gordon and Clara (Roum) Hanson. She married Vernon Kreuger in November of 1948. Together they farmed the ""family farm"" until his death in March 1998. She was a member of St. Paul's Liberty Lutheran Church in Deerfield. She loved spending her days watching old movies and game shows on TV. She enjoyed visits from friends, family and especially her great-grandchildren. She will always be remembered for her lovely smile and sweet disposition.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Julie (Michael) Ward and Paulette Berge; a son, Donn (Joni) Kreuger; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruby Schroeder; a brother, Gordon Hanson, Jr.; a brother in law, George Hauge; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Daniel; grandson, Christopher; 5 sisters-in-law; and four brothers in law.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at St. Paul's Liberty Lutheran Church, 3494 Oak Park Rd., Deerfield, with the Rev. Dan Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, June 1st from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at church and again on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
