Marjorie Petersen

Stoughton- Marjorie Fay (Woodbridge) Petersen, age 85, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2020 at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg.  She was born on August 1, 1934 to Albert Henry and Minnie (Crystal) Woodbridge in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada.

Marjorie was united in marriage to Alan G. Petersen on August 27, 1956 in Gulfport, MS.  She worked her way up from the typing pool to be the Chief of Finance at the VA Regional Office in Wood, WI.  Marjorie relocated to Madison to be closer to her children.  Following her retirement she worked at the WI Craft Mart, Goodwill East, and Cubs Foods Nakoosa.

Marjorie enjoyed crafting, travelling, walking, and gambling.  She participated in walks for Aids, Alzheimer’s, Crop, and Cancer to help others.

Marjorie is survived by her daughters, Diane Woodbridge Rees and Helen Marie Petersen.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Minnie Woodbridge; her husband, Alan; son, Scott Alan; daughter, Cindy Louise; and siblings, Irene Beardall, Joyce Ruog, Roy Woodbridge, and Harry Woodbridge.
