Marjory Holt

Madison - Marjory Holt, age 74, died on Monday, December 28, 2009 at the UW Hospital. She was born on November 27, 1935 in Kansas City, Missouri to Michael J. and Myrtle Hynes. Marjory was united in marriage to Richard A. Holt on August 25, 1956 in Kansas City. She was preceded in death by her husband and best friend, Richard; her mother and father; and a baby sister, Patricia. She is survived by her three sons, Timothy (Kelly), Michael (Kay), Gregory (Holly); and nine grandchildren, Casey, Patrick, Lee, Alissa, Colton, Meredith, Justin, Samuel and Taren. The family is profoundly grateful for the help and compassion of many neighbors, friends and medical professionals. The family would specifically like to thank the doctors and nurses in UW Hospital's Palliative Care Unit. In accordance with Marjory's wishes, there will be a private family service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Marjory's memory may be made to the UW Paul Carbone Cancer Center, 600 Highland Avenue, K4/658, Madison, WI 53792-6164.
