Mark Daleo

Columbus, Ohio/Middleton, WI - Mark T. Daleo, age 63, passed away peacefully at his home in Columbus, Ohio, on Tuesday, November 10, 2015.

Mark was born in Madison on April 25, 1952, the son of Sam and Phyllis (Thompson) Daleo. Following graduation from Middleton High School, Mark earned a degree in Business Administration from MATC, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from UW-Madison.

Mark spent 5 years in Florida as a Supervisor at Disney World, and moving to Columbus in 1986, was an Account Manager at Discover Card. In January, 1995, he joined Nationwide Insurance Company and currently held the position of Senior Analyst within Business Consulting.

Mark's interests included the latest computer technology and television advances; he enjoyed watching and collecting vintage movies. He frequently visited Wisconsin to join in fun, lively family gatherings at his father's home, the "Pasadena Palace". His passion for politics was contagious. Mark loved to write and was authoring a book. In 1976, Mark drove five of his younger siblings to Walt Disney World in Florida, which continually evoked laughable memories.

Mark is survived by his father, Sam Daleo Sr. of Waunakee; his siblings, Sam (Lynda) Daleo Jr. of Hurley, New York; Nancy (Jay) Bailey of Kiel; Sandra (Gary) Sahagian of Madison; Jacqueline Daleo of Waunakee; Andrew (Jennifer) Daleo of Lee's Summit, Missouri; sisters-in-law Rita Daleo, Sharon Daleo; and brother-in-law, Keith Bay. He is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews and extended relatives.

Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Daleo; his siblings, Steven Daleo, Gary Daleo, Kathleen Daleo-Bay; and nephew, Michael Bay.

Visitation will be from 10-11:00 AM on Friday, November 20, 2015 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, 2015 Parmenter Street, Middleton, WI 53562 with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 AM with Fr. Brian J. Wilk presiding. Burial will take place at Sunset Memory Gardens.
