Mark P. ""Bowler"" Esch

Mark P. ""Bowler"" Esch   Madison - Mark P. ""Bowler"" Esch, age 52, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2009 at home surrounded by his family and friends.   He completed his more than three year battle with cancer with dignity and grace.   As he battled his illness, Mark made valuable contributions to cancer research.     Mark was born on February 1, 19 57 , in Madison , Wisconsin to Clarence and Ann Esch.   He graduated from Edgewood High School in 1975 and the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1979.   He worked at Meriter Hospital and he also worked in various capacities in the food and beverage industry.   His last position was as Food and Beverage Manager and part owner at Olde Highlander Golf Club in Oconomowoc , Wisconsin until his illness forced is early retirement.   The people that he came to know and love at Olde Highlander were a very important part of his life . He was married on April 26, 2002 to Mary Cullinane.   He is survived by his wife, Mary and their beloved dog, Skippy.   He is further survived by his brothers and sisters, Sue of Madison, Peter (Cindy) of Surprise, Arizona , Tom (Lana), and Marty (Mark) Fiess all of Madison , Wisconsin .   Further surviving family member include a niece, Tiffany (Paul) Albrecht, and their son, Evan of Peoria, Arizona; nephew, Jacob Esch; and a niece, Katy Fiess both of Madison , Wisconsin . Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Ann Esch; and his brother-in-law, Mike Cullinane.   Memorial Services will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Rd., Madison on Sunday, September 6, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. with Chaplian Annette Cleary officiating.   A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.   Graveside services will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery .   Memorials can be made to the charity of your choice.
