Marlyn Christianson

April 2, 1924 — August 12, 2017

Stoughton, Marlyn Helen (Anderson) Christianson, beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother went to rest on Saturday August 12, 2017 at home surrounded by family. She was born at home on the farm on April 2, 1924 to Albert and Tillie Anderson, the first of 7 siblings.

On March 16, 1942 she married the love of her life, Oliver J. Christianson before he left for 4 years of active duty in World War II. Together they raised 6 children, LaVerne Christianson, Richard (Theresa) Christianson, Helen Christianson, Debra (Alan) Wall, Terri (Mark) Singkofer, and Lori (Oralia) Christianson. She had bragging rights to 12 of the "most beautiful" grandchildren. Shannon, Amanda, Amber, Cody, Lonnie, Chris, Candi, Troy, Travis, Tina, Tera, and Christina; and 16 great grandchildren, Nick, Mitch, Colin, Carter, Seth, Isaac, Eric, Isabelle, Paisley, Michelle, Grant, Austin, Aden, Alex, Ruby, and Rocky. She is survived by 1 sister, Gladys Roberts and sister in law Dorothy Anderson and Many Nieces and Nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her husband; parents; and siblings and their spouses, Chester (Connie), Harry (Wilma), Gerald, Arlene and Emil.
Special thanks to the Agrace HospiceCare team, Dr. Agni and Nazareth Home for their loving care for mom. Very special thanks to granddaughter Tera. Her love and devotion went above and beyond.

Celebration of Marlyn's Life will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday August 17, 2017 at Cress Funeral Service, 206 W. Prospect St., Stoughton. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Highland Memory Gardens. Following the burial, family and friends are invited a luncheon at the Stoughton American Legion Post 59.
