Marshall Parkinson

Madison-Mrs. Marshall (Elda) Parkinson, age 102, died Monday, July 20th at Oak Park Nursing Home in Madison.  She was born on June 14th, 1907 in Green County, WI to Anna and Fred Willoughby.  Elda worked at H.S. Manchester Department Store for 47 years, retiring as Credit Manager in 1979.  Elda was an avid sports fan and a very dedicated Wisconsin Badger football supporter.  She was married to Marshall (Parky) Parkinson on May 22, 1937.  She was preceded in death by her husband in 1975 and her sister Lorna (Coombs) in 1982.  Survivors include her nephews John W. Coombs (Sharon) Placentia CA, Edward A. Coombs (Margi) Bellevue, WA and nieces Caryl J. Stella (Robert) New Meadows, ID Ann Fagan of Madison, WI Mary Boehm, New York and Sally Brodd of Florida and many great nephews and nieces.  Also special friends Irene Skattum and Esther Zblewski.  At her request there will be no visitation or funeral service.  Memorials may be given in her name to a favorite charity.   Cress Funeral & Cremation Service
