Martha Fuguitt was “one of a kind”—a child of God, who lived and loved life to its fullest, making it more meaningful and memorable for us all.
Martha had a heart of gold—was a schoolteacher, volunteer, hostess extraordinaire, and a lady. She was a fierce advocate for family and friends alike. She leaves a legacy of leadership, as an early church Moderator, and Board Chair of the Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestra. Defying all odds, after years with Alzheimer’s Disease, Martha never lost her heavy southern accent or her memory for each of her family members, eating dinner with her husband of 72 years, Glenn, and saying “goodnight, Sugar,” until her dying day.
Truly loved by her family, Martha Fuguitt was our beloved Wife, Mom, and "Grandma Martha.” Survivors include Glenn Fuguitt, the love of her life, daughter, Gayle Fuguitt and husband, Tom Veitch, son Graham Fuguitt and wife Margaret Fuguitt, 3 grandsons, Ian Veitch and wife Ashley Veitch, Gus Fuguitt, and wife Katie Fuguitt, Henry Fuguitt, and great grand-daughter, Gracie Fuguitt.
Martha would invite us to live life to its fullest, laugh often, break bread together, love our families and friends, and most of all "be ourselves” while always thinking of others. May she be lifted in love and celebration.
