Marvin C. Bauriedel

Lake Mills – Marvin C. Bauriedel, age 88, passed away on Thursday May 25, 2023, in Lake Mills.  He battled Dementia for 7 years.  Marvin was born January 9, 1935, in Milford, WI to the late William and Grace (Heller) Bauriedel. 

Marvin retired from APV Crepaco in 1998 after working there for 32 years.  After retiring, he was a janitor for the Moravian church and cleaned doctors’ offices in Lake Mills and Jefferson.   He had a big garden and enjoyed fishing on the Crawfish River.  He did furniture refinishing, made things out of wood, painted, and restored a Farmall tractor.  He fixed lots of vehicles for friends and family.  In his younger years he found joy in owning and racing his race car at the Jefferson Speedway.

Marvin entered the US Army in 1957, and was located at Fort Riley, Kansas for two years.  During the time he was in the US Army reserve he was called to active duty in 1961, with the 32nd division Red Arrow in Fort Lewis, Washington. 

He is survived by his wife Irene (Zimmerman) Bauriedel of 63 years; son Jeff Bauriedel and daughter Renee (Curtis) Edwards.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Alfred Bauriedel and sister Lucile (Leroy) Waldmann. 

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday June 15, 2023, at LAKE MILLS MORAVIAN CHURCH, 301 College St. Lake Mills with Rev. Dave Sobek presiding.  Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the funeral at the church on Thursday.  The burial will be in the Rock Lake Cemetery at a later date. Memorials, if desired, may be directed to the Lake Mills Moravian Church and the Jefferson Humane Society, or your choice of memorial.
