Marvin Peterson

Madison - Marvin L. Peterson, age 89, died Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Agrace HospiceCare, following a short illness. Marvin was born April 20, 1923 in Waupaca, the son of Martin and Lillie (Wanbon) Peterson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Nelda; and his daughter Sherry. Marvin is survived by his wife, Diana; and his son, Brad (Monica) Peterson. He is further survived by Diana's children, Lauren and Randy; and Monica's children, James and Victoria.
Marvin was active over the years in Zor Shrine and Elks, both in Madison and LaCrosse. He was a faithful member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Madison and English Lutheran Church, LaCrosse. Marv enjoyed Badger Football, golf, traveling and gardening.
Services for Marvin will be held Thrusday, February 28, 2013 at 11 a.m. at GOOD SHEPHERD LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5701 Raymond Rd. Madison. A visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. A luncheon will follow in fellowship hall.
A visitation will also be held Friday, March 1, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at BLASCHKE-SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME, 1501 West Ave. S., LaCrosse, WI 54601. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
The family would like to thank all the special staff at Meriter Hospital 8th floor, and Agrace HospiceCare for their exceptional care given to Marvin.
Memorials in Marvin's name may be given to the missions of Zor Shrine, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Madison, Wisconsin, and English Lutheran Church, LaCrosse, Wisconsin.
