Mary Ann Frances Casey (lovingly known as “Annie” to her family), 77, of Milwaukee, entered peacefully into eternal life with the Lord on March 24, 2025. Born in Chicago, IL., to William and Marion (Haas) Casey, the second of four children. Mary Ann spent much of her life in Milwaukee, graduating from Custer High School. Mary Ann started her career in accounting at Blue Cross and Blue Shield. She later worked for 20+ years at Marion Franciscan Center as an accountant prior to her retirement. For the last five years Mary Ann has lived in the Madison area close to her niece Sarah’s family.
Mary Ann never married or had her own children but she was a devoted and loving aunt to her nieces and nephews. Family was very important to Mary Ann and spending time with family brought her great joy. Mary Ann’s faith was very important to her and always a big part of her life. There was a time early on that she had a calling to become a Carmelite Sister but after further discernment decided this was not the path for her. She did, however, live a life of service and faith. Mary Ann was a very warm, kind hearted person who always saw the good in everyone.
Mary Ann had many hobbies; her favorite being crocheting. She made many beautiful pieces that her family will always treasure. Mary Ann loved puzzles, especially making puzzles with her great niece Sydney and great nephew William. She was a big Packers and Brewers fan and liked going to games. She enjoyed reading, baking, and going for a drive into the country on sunny days.
Mary Ann is survived by her siblings John Casey, Kathy Casey, and Kathy Casey wife of late Bill Casey. Nieces Sarah (Steve) Schlueter, and Beckie Adams. Nephew Joel Cencius. Great nieces Katie Carr, Sydney Schlueter. Great nephew William Schlueter. As well as many cousins and friends.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her loving parents and brother, Bill Casey.
