Mary Ellen Courtier

Morrisonville -- Mary Ellen Courtier, age 54, went home to be with her husband on January 11, 2010 at HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She was born June 3, 1955 in Madison, Wisconsin, the daughter of Charles and Beverly (Clifton) Davis. Mary was united in marriage to Dennis Courtier on June 2, 1972 in Madison, Wisconsin. She enjoyed planting flowers, traveling and camping with her family, visiting with friends, doing crafts, and playing bingo. Mary most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Candy (Howie II) Breunig; Cory Courtier and Christy (Travis) Wolf; her beloved grandchildren, Stephanie, Howie III and Joelle; her father, Charles Davis; brothers, Chuck (Terri) Davis and Dennis (Chris) Davis; a sister, Marlene (Paul) Fotes; a long time friend, Greg Quamme; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly, her husband Dennis, a grandmother, Elda Clifton, a sister-in-law, Judy Davis, a brother-in-law, Terry Zaemisch and a niece, Jody Davis

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. OLAF'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 623 Jefferson Street; DeForest, Wisconsin, on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Gary A. Wankerl officiating. Burial will follow at Norway Grove Cemetery in DeForest. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, January 16, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.

Mary's family would like to thank her friends from Morrisonville, Culvers, the staff at UW Hospital unit 6B and a special thank you to the staff at HospiceCare for all the wonderful care that she received.
