Mary Johnson

Stoughton- Mary Ann Dahl Johnson, age 81, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2012 at her home. She was born on Feb. 14, 1931 in the Town of Christiana, the daughter of Theodore O. and Anna (Tronnes) Johnson. Mary attended Pleasant Hill School grades 1-6. She then went to live with her sister Clarice in Madison for 7th & 8th grade. Mary graduated form Stoughton High School in 1949. In 1951 she married Donald R. Dahl who preceded her in death on 1963. In 1972, Mary was united in marriage with Matthew H. Johnson at 1st Lutheran Church in Stoughton. She retired from Nelson Industries in 1994 after 24 years of working in the office. Mary is survived by her husband, Matt; children, Douglas A. Dahl and Brenda Dahl; grandchildren, Jeremy, Jessica and Curtis Dahl; special great-grandchildren, Cameron and Jasmine Montiel; step-daughter, Julie Johnson; step-grandchildren, Guy Fay and Jennifer (Jon) Hoff; step-great-grandchildren, Melissa and Matthew; brothers, Tylor (Carmen) Johnson and Robert (Bev) Johnson; sister, June Anderson; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Donald; sister, Clarice Scheideler; and brothers, Gilman and Arnold Johnson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at First Lutheran Church, 310 E. Washington Street, Stoughton. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon, immediately following the services, in the church fellowship hall. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of services Wednesday.
