Mary G. Davies

Madison -- Mary G. Davies, age 88, died on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at the HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg surrounded by her family. She was born on February 28, 1921 in Mineral Point to Peter and Gertrude (Pittz) Palzkill. Mary was united in marriage to John E. ""Buzz"" Davies on his birthday, January 19,1946, in Mineral Point. Mary was the first retiree of Nicolet Instruments, where she worked as an electronics technician for over 20 years. She was a hard working employee who enjoyed going to work, where she developed many friendships. Mary was a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. The true love of her life was spending time with family. The grandchildren could always count on her whether it was to pick them up at school after missing the bus, helping them with homework, or taking them for ice cream. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

Mary is survived by her children, Dave (Gwenn) Davies, Pat (Casey) Healy; grandchildren, Kim (Seneca) Blue, Katelyn Daggett, Zac Davies, Whitney Davies; her three great-grandchildren, Braylen, Haley, and Avery; and her sister-in-law, Kay Palkill. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents; her siblings, Lenora (Gregory) Buenzli, Lawrence Palzkill, Leo (Grace) Palzkill, Sister M. Teresita, Celia (Matthew) Larson, William (Bernice) Palzkill.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 401 S. Owen Drive, Madison, with Msgr. Kenneth Fiedler presiding. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Entombment will be held at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
