Shorewood Hills / Madison - Mary S. (nee Seffrood) Field passed away at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg on April 10, 2016. Mary was born the Clarence N. and Cecelia A. (nee Kieffer) Seffrood on January 4, 1947 in Monroe. She grew up on the family farm near South Wayne, Wisconsin and spent her adult life in the Madison area.

Mary is survived by her husband, Charles R.; son, Alexander C. (Talia) of Los Angeles; brothers, Robert C. Seffrood of Albany and Gregory D. (Rachael) Seffrood of Monroe. She is also survived by a special cousin, Barbara Seffrood of Madison; a nephew; nieces; sister-in-law, Jeanne Field (John Binder) of Los Angeles; and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Kenneth N.; and sister-in-law, Cindy Seffrood.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, April 22, 2016 at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 401 S. Owen Drive, Madison with Msgr. Kenneth J. Fiedler presiding. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at church. Burial will be held at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.

Her family wishes to thank the skilled, friendly, and compassionate staffs of Dean Care and St. Mary's Hospital, in particular Dr. James Heun. In addition, thank you to Home Health United, Independent Living, and especially, Agrace HospiceCare that made this chapter of Mary's life easier for Mary and her family. Thank you to all the relatives, friends, and neighbors who have been so supportive.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mary's name may be made to the Catholic Multicultural Center and Agrace HospiceCare.
