Mary R. Hall, 85, of Heritage Independent Living Apartments, Oakwood Village West passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at University of Wisconsin Hospital.

Mary was born in Huntington, Indiana the daughter of Kenneth F. Triggs and Laura Marie Poucher, both deceased.

Mary graduated from DePauw University. She was active throughout her life in her P.E.O. sisterhood and eventually served as BY Chapter President as well as Wisconsin State President. Mary was an active member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Madison. She was instrumental in the establishment and growth of the Madison Opera, serving as its president for two terms. She was an accomplished classical pianist, enjoyed various cultural events, traveled the world, and loved dogs.

She is survived by her beloved children Barbara (Elmer) Fiester, Janet (Chris) Barlow , John (Kathy) Hall and Dave (Kathy) Hall as well as 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Richard D. Hall, her daughter Susan Sinkovits and her great-granddaughter Chaya Mabel Eshelman.

A Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Cress Center, 6021 University Ave., Madison 53705, with visitation from 1pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials may be made to Cottey College (P.E.O. college), handled through the Cress Center.
