Stoughton- Mary Kay Hanson, age 56, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at her home. She was born in Stoughton on April 22, 1952, the daughter of George and Rachel (Christianson) Swoboda. Mary Kay married Dean Hanson in Stoughton on November 11, 1972. She worked at Main Street Market before going to work for Jenifer Street Market in Madison. Mary Kay was known for her many sewing talents. She was a life long member of St. Ann's Catholic Church.  Mary Kay is survived by her husband of 35 years, Dean; daughters, Susan (Dan) Hulick of Janesville, Katy (Michael) Aiello of Sturtevant and Paula Hanson of Madison; grandchildren, Michael Aiello and Rachel Hulick; sisters, Rosemary and Sue; and brothers, Bob and Tom. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 22, 2008 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 323 N. Van Buren, Stoughton, with Monsignor Gerard Healy officiating. Burial will follow in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery. Friends may greet the family from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass on Monday. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Sunday, September 21, 2008 at Olson-Holzhuter-Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton. The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Humane Society.
