Mary Kruckenberg

Oregon- Mary K. Vosberg Kruckenberg, age 52, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, October 8, 2014. She was born in Platteville on November 15, 1961 the daughter Francis L. and Anna J. Vosberg. Mary graduated from Platteville High School, attended UW-Madison, graduated from UT-Austin, and received her Master's degree in business from Texas State in San Marcos. In June 1984 Mary married Brian Kruckenberg. She worked as a computer programmer and was proud of her career with Computer Sciences Corp. Mary enjoyed gardening, being on the family farm, and reading. She is lovingly survived by her husband, Brian; two children, Samantha and Parker; her mother, Anna; 14 siblings, Barb (Fritz) Buetow, Bob (Mary Pat), Jim (Michele), Jack (Janice), Laurie (Ken) Greco, Phil (Laura), Mark (Amy), Joan (Doug) Christianson, Ellen (Tom) Ruppenthal, Janet (Craig) Hardy, Peg (Clay) Blohm, Dan (Pauline), Steve (Sarah), Kara (J.C.) Warren; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and many friends. Mary was preceded in death by her father, Francis; brother, Lawrence; and sister, Christina. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 130 W. Cedar Street, Platteville, with Fr. Kevin Dooley officiating. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday, October 13, 2014 at Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Mary's name. Mary's wishes were for people not to wear black or dark colors to her funeral. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Please share your memories.
