Mary Maertz

Sun Prairie- Mary Maertz, age 79, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 29, 2023. She was born on December 11, 1943, the daughter of Anthony and Margaret Hellenbrand. On September 8, 1962 she married LeRoy Maertz. Together they enjoyed antiquing, playing cards, collecting Halloween decorations and Christmas ornaments, and cruising around in the 1970 Oldsmobile.

Mary is survived by her three children, Laura (John) Eagen, Wes (Amy Nitschke) and Andy (Dayna) Maertz; six grandchildren, Nathen, Isabella, Lucas, Gabe, Hailey and Jett; two great grandchildren, Alexis and Nolan; and beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 5, 2023 at Cress Funeral Home, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie. Burial will follow in Sun Prairie Memory Gardens. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon, following the burial, at Cress. Friends may greet the family from 9:00 AM until the time of services Friday.
