Stoughton - Mary Lou Olson, age 90, passed away on August 4, 2016 at Skaalen Nursing and Rehab. She was born on August 26, 1925 in Cottage Grove, Wisconsin, the daughter of Albert and Mary Salverson. She married Roger Olson on December 8, 1946 at Hope Lutheran Church in Cottage Grove.
Mary Lou worked alongside her husband at the Nora Store in Deerfield, and as an accountant in his practice. She also worked for Blied Printing and Office Supply in Madison.
Mary Lou is survived by her son Clyde (Debra) Olson; son-in-law Michael Bradley; grandchildren, Milissa (John) Sprecher, Mary (Scott) Hamele, Anne T. Olson, and Lisa (Elliott) Brown; great grandchildren, Joy, Drake, Mckenna, Jackson, and Addison. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Barbara Kleine.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roger Olson; daughter Candi Bradley; 3 brothers, Stan, Kenneth, and Wesley Salverson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at First Lutheran Church, 310 E. Washington St., Stoughton. Visitation will be held from 4:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Cress Funeral Home, 206 W. Prospect St., Stoughton., and additional visitation from 10 A.M. until the time of service at church on Wednesday. Family and friends are invited to a luncheon in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Roselawn Memorial Park in Monona.
Memorials may be made in memory of Mary Lou to Skaalen Nursing and Rehab Benevolent Fund, Stoughton Hospital Foundation, and First Lutheran Church.
