Mary K. Piper

Oregon – Mary K. Piper, age 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday November 28, 2024 at Skaalen home. She was born January 9, 1939 in Leadmine, WI to the late Percy and DeEtta (Swift) Carter.

She married Charles Raymond Piper June 15, 1963 in Benton, WI. She worked as an X Ray Tech for more than 25 years. 

Mary enjoyed rosemaling, bird watching, was an avid Wisconsin sports fan. Many times while watching a game she was told, “They can’t hear you,” but the neighbors certainly could. She enjoyed her Veranda-Time with friends and family.

Mary is survived by her children Lucas (Janice) Piper, DeEtta Kellom, Joel (Mindy) Piper; grandchildren Elizabeth Kellom, Mary S. Kellom, Logan Piper, Matthew Kellom, Megan Piper, Alex Piper, Jacob Piper, Maggie Piper; great grandchildren Marceline Weber and Lionel Weber; brother Jim (Idaine) Carter, sister Joan (Bob)Havertape, Jean Christiansen, bother-in-law John Piper, and she is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, daughter Tanya Rae Piper, brother John Carter.

A memorial gathering will be held from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Tuesday December 10, 2024 at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 206 W. Prospect St. Stoughton.

Any visitors to the memorial gathering are encouraged to wear Badger Red.
